Introduction: Internationally acclaimed tenor, Jesus Garcia, teaches voice in Center City, Philadelphia. With over 14 years of teaching experience, Mr. Garcia has helped shape voices all over the world.
Jesus Garcia has appeared on major stages all over the world. He specializes in the romantic roles of the French and Italian repertoire; with his soaring vocalism and dynamic stage presence, Mr. Garcia is now one of opera's most sought-after young rising stars.
Mr. Garcia is the recipient of a number of awards; one of which is a 2003 Tony Award Honor in recognition of his work as Rodolfo in Baz Luhrmann's production of Puccini's La Boheme on Broadway. In addition, he has been the winner of numerous competitions, including those of the Licia Albanese, the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, the George London, the Marquerite McCammon International Vocal Competition, and Placido Domingo's Operalia.
