Mr. Harvey did a photo assignment at the club where I work. He was quite professional and knowledgable, went about his work and took excellent photos. He has an eye for the most interesting details, was unobtrusive, and I'd highly recommend him. I've also seen him photograph a variety of activities, from a cerebral chess match to capturing shots of approximately 400,000 people marching at the People's Climate March. I'm impressed!

Mr. John Harvey traveled from California to Pittsburgh to work for us. He was very professional and polite. He had all the right equipment to do the job successfully. He took pictures of our Post-Prom at our High School. Everyone enjoyed his company and he went out of his way to capture the perfect picture. John Harvey did an excellent job doing the photo shoot for the jacket photo of my upcoming book, "Union vs Company." We had a bright sunny day in Pittsburgh's Bloomfield neighborhood, and his shots brought the scenery to life. He even back up in the middle of midday traffic to get even wider shots that came out perfect. I had a very hard time deciding which photo to choose for my cover because there were so many great shots. I plan on working with him in the future for all my photography needs. -Perel L. Blakley

Keep up with technology, and developments in the field through seminars, reading and online training. I have two master's degrees. I am a member of the American Writers Union and the National Press Photographers Association.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have enjoyed photography since I was a young child. I have fond memories of spending hours in the dark room working with smelly chemicals. I think I was just meant to be a photographer.
