- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard rate for design services is $40 per hour, with considerations for nonprofit budgets as requested. For wedding invitations, my charge is a flat fee of $150 which includes design services for a three-piece invitation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If a client is local, I like to meet with them, learn more about their organization or business, what their design needs are and how they've used designed pieces in the past. For wedding invitations, I want to get to first get to know a couples' personal style and their vision for their wedding. From there, a design can flow naturally to fit the individual or business needs. For clients who aren't local, I can easily have these initial conversations via email, phone or Skype. Once in the design process, I keep the client involved each step of the way - emailing PDF drafts, getting feedback, and adjusting the design based on the comments. I will either work with the client to provide a printed product or will provide them with final print-ready files.
