FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been teaching in the public schools for 4 years, and every year I attended a Music Educator's Association weekend of workshops, which counted for re-certification hours. I currently am working on my Master's in Music Education at Carnegie Mellon University.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Music has always been a part of my life. My 5 older siblings all took private lessons in piano, voice, accordion, organ and more. The many hours I sat watching them practice before I started lessons of my own, helped me see the joy in practicing. It's like an athlete that loves to shoot free throws after dinner everyday. There's a sense of accomplishment in doing something well and working hard to get better at it. Music has helped me have a drive and a passion in life.
