Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I not only have the music background, I'm a dedicated educator. I try and make lessons more meaningful for each student by connecting to them. My education background helps me create lessons that can be more personal. Seeing the change in the students. Music takes a lot of work and when a student finally gets that and progresses it's so much fun to see how far they go.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I've been teaching in the public schools for 4 years, and every year I attended a Music Educator's Association weekend of workshops, which counted for re-certification hours. I currently am working on my Master's in Music Education at Carnegie Mellon University.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Music has always been a part of my life. My 5 older siblings all took private lessons in piano, voice, accordion, organ and more. The many hours I sat watching them practice before I started lessons of my own, helped me see the joy in practicing. It's like an athlete that loves to shoot free throws after dinner everyday. There's a sense of accomplishment in doing something well and working hard to get better at it. Music has helped me have a drive and a passion in life.
