Introduction: I have conducted weddings in venues like Phipps Conservatory, The Pittsburgh Children's Museum, The Pittsburgh Opera House, Heinz Chapel, The Priory and many other beautiful, creative and sacred spaces. I enjoy helping couples navigate through the preparation and planning stages of a wedding. My fiancé and I have been attending Pastor Timm's Sunday Services for a couple years now and so when the discussion of pre-marital counseling came up, we looked to Terry to assist in this role. Being from two different religious sects, my wife from Terry's non-denominational path and myself from being reared as a Roman Catholic I was interested to see how Terry would blend these two different schools of thought. Terry's counseling of the two of us lasted a couple of months with an individual computer based program that started the initial session off. We both found the sessions enriching and prepared us for our special day. Terry explored some of the more serious topics in ways that were at times humorous but serious and also kept the discussions based in a real life view point. As far as Terry officiating our wedding, it went off as we thought it would, without any issues. Terry was able to use one of my Catholic priest friends from college which put my family at ease and the entire ceremony was beautiful. After discussion the pre-marital counseling with my wife, now 1 year later, the only area that I believe Pastor Timm could improve on would be to have individual sessions as well as couple sessions. Possibly alternating them would assist with couple discussion. My wife and I would certainly recommend Pastor Terry Timm and his wedding officiating and pre-marital counseling to any couple getting married.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME...From premarital counseling all the way to the wedding ceremony! Terry did a fantastic job getting to know each of us as individuals and as a couple, but most importantly he helped us set the foundation for a Christ centered marriage. Terry was not afraid to dig deep and ask the hard questions, but he also created a safe and comfortable environment where we could discuss matters openly. He listened attentively and was remarkably present and engaged during every one of our meetings. On top of all this, Terry understood the pressure/stress of planning a wedding and was always willing and offering to help in any way that he could. Terry crafted and delivered a beautiful ceremony that was heartfelt and genuine, the only regret we have is that we didnt record it!

I am committed to helping couples build a healthy foundation for their marriage and believe this is essential to a long term successful and happy marriage. Through my use of the Prepare-Enrich assessment tool, we can discover areas of relational strength, as well as areas for growth and development.
