FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is very straight forward and easy to understand. I have all my pricing on my website and hand out my pricing at shows. There are so many photographers that try to hide and use complicated formulas for their pricing and that is just not me or how I want to run my business.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I advise all my customers to get to know your photographer and look at his or her pictures. This person will be with you on your special day and you want someone who you will get along with and like their company. I have heard too many stories of people who were unhappy with their photographer because they were too bossy, would not leave the wedding couple alone, set up all their pictures, could not react quickly, missed pictures etc.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
It takes a lot of time, cost and effort to be a good photographer. I am always upgrading my cameras, lens, flash and computers. Also editing the pictures takes a lot of time. After a typical wedding I need to go through over 1,000 images and that can take 3 days or more.
