    We had Dale do a job on the underpinning of our trailer last year. We wanted it to look like field stone.
    He did a wonderful job. The colors are perfect and it looks like a real stone wall. Love....Love....the job he did. We are going to get him do othere jobs for us in the near furture.

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Patios and vertical outside concrete. Most seem to be foundations and outside grill areas.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Get colored samples of the work prior. Get a sample of the work first.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I would want to know the coloring technique. I use some odd off the wall unusual tools to color the concrete. Squirt bottles and sponges are just some of the tools used. Sandpaper is KEY

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. The size of the area. The prep work that maybe needed before beginning. The look of stone you are trying to achieve.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My work is custom, it enables the homeowner to really have a say it the final product. The concrete is carved and shaped to your specific desire.It gives them a personalized one of a kind look.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I like the look of the clients when done. I like to see the WOW factor.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. The most commonly asked question is what is vertical concrete? The answer is. Vertical concrete is the personalized version of stone work. It is stamped and carved concrete.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I did a vertical concrete job a while back and we carved out 3 ft by 2 ft high spade symbols. It took a little time but the end result very impressive. I also carved a hidden draw into the clients wall, a secret place for him to hide his valuables.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. It is alot cheaper than you may think. It is very affordable. The realistic look that rivals stone work can be affordable.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I wanted to bring the look of the rich to the normal everyday worker.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I stamped a random stone patio most recently. The patio was 55 ft by 22 ft it was stamped at one time. I was very proud of that. The coloration was amazing! Exceeded the homeowner as well as myself.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I constantly try to stay on top of vertical concrete. It is growing by leaps and bounds. I stay in contact with several key leading people in the industry.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Probably movable pieces in vertical concrete. For example hidden draws and door. That are not seen by the naked eye.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. The most recent was a big patio. It was formed up in one day poured the next and colored the following weekend. From start to finish it was done in 4 days. The cost was $10000 very affordable for an 1100 sq ft patio. Boosted there property value by $25000.

A. Pricing is not so cut and dry. I look at the job and the amount of work and come up with a number. Nothing is carved in concrete except my work.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Do a lot of research. Contact several people before deciding on who to learn from.

A. What are my advantages with vertical concrete over artificial and real stone?

Answer- Vertical concrete is lighter than real stone. It can be colored to personalization it can be sized to fit any project. It is more durable and lasts longer, and less expensive. For example you can have your name carved out of concrete made to look like stone. You can have pictures carved out as well.
