While searching for a DJ for my daughter's bat mitzvah party, I received lots of advice from other parents-you must call company X or company Y "everybody uses them." When I called these companies, their quotes were quite high, and we could not get a straight answer as to what was included in their packages. Their attitude was we charge this and we get this and we don't need to explain ourselves. I found DJTKO on an internet search, and when we contacted him, Martelle was very professional, and completely up-front with his pricing, and prompt in his responses. His quote was also significantly less than some other, well-known companies, for what appeared to be the same services, lighting, and playlist. We had a wonderful experience at our daughter's party-Martelle and Matt showed up early and, in addition to setting up, helped with the favors they tossed to the kids. Prior to the party we communicated about the playlist, and information about my daughter. We got the traditional ceremonial stuff out of the way, and did the hora. Matt and Martelle kept the kids busy and entertained, and they had a blast. It's been months since that party, and we are still getting complements on what a good time people had. My second child now has her date, which is more than two years away, but I know I want to hire DJTKO again. In the last year, we have been to other events, using other DJ companies, and I did not think that any of them did a better job than Martelle. I recommend him without reservation.

Working with Martelle for our wedding was one of the easiest things we had to do while planning. He was so great to work with and made everything so easy for us. From our first meeting with him we knew that we found the perfect DJ for our special day. He was funny and knowledgeable and really understood what it was that we wanted from a DJ. With his background as a club DJ we had no doubts that he would be able to get people moving and keep the energy up the entire night. While we had some requests (which the portal on their website made it so simple to add songs and plan out the evening) we gave Martelle free reign to play what he wanted. The dance floor was packed all night and I don’t think I saw my grandmother take a seat until it was time to leave. He really was our favorite vender and knows the ins and outs of the business. I have recommended him to many people and will continue to do so.

When we started wedding planning we had to think most about what people would remember at a wedding, we narrowed it down to fantastic food and awesome music. I found DJ TKO through reading customer reviews and met in person a few days later, there was no doubt in our minds we had to book him. Martelle is hands down amazing, our dance floor was packed with every song. He kept everyone up and energetic for the whole night but what was really important is that he listened to our likes and dislikes. We also booked the medium sized photo booth which our guests loved and the pictures are hilarious. From start to finish DJ TKO was professional, thorough, and personable which made our life easier during wedding planning.

Martelle and Matt did an amazing job at our wedding! It was great working with Martelle throughout the planning process. He was always quick to answer any questions we had, he met up with us on multiple occasions to make sure we were comfortable and the website was very user friendly. All together Martelle and Matt were amazing to work with and the music was fantastic! We highly recommend them for any event!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are members of the American DJ Associations and National Association of Mobile Entertainers. We continually network and attend various DJ education functions to stay educated with today's equipment and DJ field.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Martelle Pitts, the owner followed in his father's interest in the DJ field and love of music. Later becoming a Club DJ in Philadelphia and now owner of DJ TKO Entertainment.
