About
Flexibility and Honesty. Each client will have unique & different needs, but I will always want what is best for the client! I encourage my clients to challenge and change the designs we come up with. I like to view myself as a large whiteboard for my clients ideas, thoughts, and dreams. I am the conduit through which they get to realize those dreams and explore their ideas, and this flexibility is why many of our clients have chosen TRS Designs to work with. How else can we give the client what is best for them if we don't explore what that might be? We will tell a client if they've asked for something that might not be a good idea, but we will also explain & educate the client why we feel this. No one really likes to hear someone say an idea they've had isn't good, but if they can't rely on a professional to tell them so, who can they rely on? It's from this raw honesty that our clients draw a significant value from as they know our feedback and opinions are what they need to hear, not what we think they want to hear.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Yes. Through our NKBA membership we have certification testing, and continuing education, with which we are able to stay on top of current trends, new and improved products and materials, as well as fabrication methods and industry standards. We constantly strive to push the envelope through design and material selection. Additionally, since each and every single remodeling job is unique and different, we are continually learning and adapting to the differing needs of our clients and their specific project requirements. No two are ever the same, and that's what keeps us enthused about this industry!

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We do a lot of kitchens. When people think of cabinetry, they naturally think of their kitchen because that is where the highest concentration of cabinetry is in a typical home. But cabinetry can be beautifully crafted and designed into more than just kitchens... We design lots of spaces that aren't kitchens: - Basement DryBars & WetBars - Entertainment Centers - Wine Cellars, Enjoyment Areas, & Storage - Laundry Rooms - Home Offices & Libraries - Butler's Pantries - Crafting and Hobbyist Rooms - Built-in Bookshelves - Fireplace Surrounds & Mantels - Garage Organization & Storage - Closet Organization & Storage - Outdoor Kitchens & Grilling Areas - Pool Houses - In Law Suites & Kitchenettes If you have a functional need for storage, but you also want it to add value to your home, it can be done with cabinetry!
