- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am on a constant quest for knowledge. In this line of work you must stay on top of your game to be a proficient computer repair technician. I maintain an enrollment with several computer technician schools and routinely engage in courses that are most pertinent to my field of service. Specializing in the newest hardware and software and keeping up to date with the latest technology is a must. In the electronics/computer industry, new and redesigned products are constantly appearing on the market. It is my goal to make certain that I am up to date with the "latest and greatest" ensuring I will be able to offer my clients the best level of service possible.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been active with electronics & repair; A musician for many years, electrical gadgets always fascinated me. When I first started repairing PC's many years ago I discovered I have a knack for it. And most of all, it's FUN! I very much enjoy working through a broken system, troubleshooting to find the system errors.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
It varies. The Computer industry changes so fast that nothing stays constant for very long. Virus/Spyware/Malware removal is a common service that I perform regularly. Operating System Re-installs/Restores are also common jobs. I also do a good bit of hardware upgrades - memory, hard drives, external hard drives for backup purposes. DC Jack and Screen Replacement are common Laptop Repairs. It's always something different!
