FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I mostly work with high school students but also work with a few middle school students. In the past I tutored college students at RI College Math Learning Center. I think once a student reaches 5th or 6th grade if they are showing signs of struggling it is important to get them help right away. It is always easier to help a student at the moment of confusion than to try to find those missing pieces in their education years later. It is also a lot better for the student who is able to maintain their confidence in their abilities with earlier intervention.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for someone that is going to be a long term advisor to you and your child. Education is a long process that builds each year. For most students they change instructors at least once a year. Think of the benefits of having a person that is deeply involved in their education throughout their education career who they can trust and who understands how they learn and how to teach them. Personally, I think that the benefits of a tutor is completely under-rated in today's world.
