Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. The advice I have for a customer looking to hire a provider such as myself is to have a broad spectrum of knowledge in the field of business you are looking to go into. A lot of times potential clients have a great idea but don't know how to convey them to the graphic designer and expect us to be mind readers. Having a great understanding of the field of business they are venturing into helps the designer understand the direction they would like to go without all the trial and error.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. If I were a customer what I would like to know about my trade is an in depth look into my past experience, what made me get into the design business? What is the time needed for the design process? Where I seek inspiration from and how long usually is the process of turning and idea into something tangible? This is a good way to gauge a designers level of experience in his/her field.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. The questions a consumer should ask to hire the right service professional are your level of experience, What is the total length of the process? Which tools or programs do you use? What will be the total cost for such services rendered? Who has ownership rights of original artworks created? What are the best times to communicate during the entire design process?
