Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My work stands out against others in the beauty industry because it provides a flawless, effortless, and natural finished look. I have mastered the art of sexy, messy but perfect hair and makeup. I love the idea of looking like you woke up as this gorgeous, ethereal, rebellious and strong female. My artistry transforms you into the women you are mixed with the woman you want to be. I enjoy the art of empowering women + men. I enjoy the final moment of turning the chair around to see my clients face light up because they feel like their most beautiful selves. I am inspired by the limitless creativity my job offers its most passionate players + that we are the only industry with the healing power of touch.

Chelsea was fantastic!! I cannot say enough good things about her. I waited until only a couples months before my wedding to book hair and make up (my first trial did not work out well) and booking was clear and easy. Chelsea was friendly, professional and nice. She was so easy to communicate with and totally understood what I wanted. Our trial was very helpful (make-up trial and hair consultation). On my wedding day my hair and make up were done beautifully and on time (she showed up early and ready to work). The hair and make up lasted all night through dancing, pictures, and family embraces (some of my family members hugs knocked the hairdo several times and it stayed in place and looked great). I would highly recommend.

Chelsea is talented, organized, creative, clean and professional, there's not much more you could want in a Hair or Make Up Artist! She's come to a variety of photo shoots with me and always makes me feel beautiful and camera ready! I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for on camera work, wedding, editorial, or catalogue!!!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I enroll in advanced education classes of all kinds every year. From special effects training with Master Artist Ve Neil, to Spa Marketing and Business classes in NYC this spring, I thrive for learning + expanding my understanding and knowledge in all dimensions of the industry.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I grew up surrounded by the beauty industry, as my grandmother was the Regional New England Sales Manager for Goldwell, a professional hair color and product line. A close friend of mine in high school introduced me to the magic of makeup + lashes, and after my 18th birthday, I decided to leave my small Connecticut town to relocate to Los Angeles, California and explore my opportunities. After landing a small internship on the Food Network's Private Chef of Beverly Hills, shadowing a Makeup Artist during a shoot, I left knowing it was time to start chasing a dream I'd had since I was a little girl giving my grandmother makeovers in her bathroom!

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I am pained by the old school reputation of the beauty industry. We are intelligent, artistic, passionate and driven human beings. Those of us in the industry for the right reason are not vain, but selfless. We are inspired by happiness and self confidence and are simply seeking to play a role in beautifying the earth.
