FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I enroll in advanced education classes of all kinds every year. From special effects training with Master Artist Ve Neil, to Spa Marketing and Business classes in NYC this spring, I thrive for learning + expanding my understanding and knowledge in all dimensions of the industry.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up surrounded by the beauty industry, as my grandmother was the Regional New England Sales Manager for Goldwell, a professional hair color and product line. A close friend of mine in high school introduced me to the magic of makeup + lashes, and after my 18th birthday, I decided to leave my small Connecticut town to relocate to Los Angeles, California and explore my opportunities. After landing a small internship on the Food Network's Private Chef of Beverly Hills, shadowing a Makeup Artist during a shoot, I left knowing it was time to start chasing a dream I'd had since I was a little girl giving my grandmother makeovers in her bathroom!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I am pained by the old school reputation of the beauty industry. We are intelligent, artistic, passionate and driven human beings. Those of us in the industry for the right reason are not vain, but selfless. We are inspired by happiness and self confidence and are simply seeking to play a role in beautifying the earth.
