Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Most clients come to us with general health and fitness related goals. We take the time to talk with you and really refine where you'd like to see yourself. Whether that's weight loss, looking great for your wedding, adding twenty yards to your golf swing, being able to be more active with your grandkids, we can help.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Check credentials, read on-line reviews, ask around, don't believe hype, and don't let them pressure you into buying large packages! A good trainer doesn't need to trap you with a large package of sessions. Also, they should be willing to give rates over the phone or by email--if not you should be suspicious.

When you come in to talk to us you'll see right away, we're not about pressuring or hustling you. We want you to chose us because you can trust us and because it feels right to you--not because of some sales pitch.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. How long an organization had been in business, what their trainer turn-over rate has been. Also, what areas of specialty their trainers have.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Think about what your goals are. "Getting in shape" can mean a lot of different things to different people. We enjoy helping you refine your objectives, and then we develop a plan that is specifically tailored to achieving those goals.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Our years of success with clients from all walks of life comes from the high level of professionalism and expertise that informs everything we do. Other gyms and studios have an ever-changing cast of characters as trainers. We have true professionals who forge lasting relationships with their clients and provide support above and beyond, inside and outside the studio.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The lasting relationships and satisfaction of seeing people change their lives for the better are tremendously satisfying. We hear every day from our clients how happy they are with what they're doing with us, how much better they feel after doing a workout with us.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Unfortunately, there are no barriers to entry in this business--no licenses, no requirements, nothing. So, there are a lot of unqualified people out there who call themselves trainers. Do they even carry a reputable certification? Do they carry insurance? The average consumer doesn't typically ask, and usually isn't in a position to evaluate the answer if they do. Be a savvy consumer: don't fall for hype, crazy promises, "guarantees," etc. Do some research on the trainer and the establishment, ask around, read reviews on-line, and trust your instincts when you talk to them

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. If a gym has a complicated pricing system it usually means they're trying to hustle you. Either they want to confuse you so you can't compare apples to apples, or they're trying to lock you into some ridiculous package of 20 or more sessions so you're trapped. They should be able to tell you their prices on the phone in twenty words or less!
