Four Paws And A Tail Pet Sitting is top notch pet service that my husband and I cannot rave enough about. They not only conduct themselves in a professional manner, but it is their genuine level of concern for the animals which is their absolute priority that makes them a cut above the rest. One important quality is that not only are you interviewing them, they are also interviewing you which speaks volumes of their service. Even with difficult breeds, they have proven to be very knowledgeable with their behavior. We have a 1 ˝ year old Akita named Remi who can be a “problem child” and were a little apprehensive upon our initial consultation. When Sherri arrived, she quickly put us at ease. Upon meeting with us on two (2) occasions, she not only formed a special bond with Remi, but had earned his respect in a short period of time. The genuine quality of care and vast knowledge Sherri has for each breed is what you can only hope for in a pet service and she has exceeded our expectations and more. She is kind, caring and always accommodating and the fact that Remi loves her unconditionally and that he is well taken care of… we couldn’t ask for anything more.

I don't know what I would do without Sherri's service! Actually, I wouldn't be able to leave home. I have two rescue cats, one with feline renal disease who has to have a daily dose of saline administered under the skin. I never imagined that I would find anyone who would come into my home and do this. Not only does Sherri include medication administration as part of her service, her rates are VERY reasonable.
I know that my "babies" are in good and kind hands when I leave Sherri to care for them!

We were so nervous to leave our dog for the first time ever in 3 years. Sherri is absolutely amazing! She is truly passionate about what she does. From the second I met her all doubts and concerns left my mind. Our dog, Ella, absolutely loved her and on our next trip there is no doubt we will be calling Sherri again.
Thank you Sherri!!!!

Sherri is just the best! She takes wonderful care of my four dogs. I would not be able to do it without her help. The dogs absolutely adore her, and Sherri always takes time to answer any questions I have about topics such as canine behavior, training, health issues, etc. She is extremely knowledgeable and caring about all aspects of "man's best friend".

A. We have a full schedule of daily dog walk clients and pet sitting clients, we specialize in dogs & cats that have special needs... We have cared for pets with many health conditions including diabetes, seizure disorders, skin conditions, cancer, kidney failure, heart disease, behavioral issues, and post surgical care. Sherri, Lisa & Jen are all veterinary technicians and can administer injections & medications while being gentle & compassionate.
Sherri's own dogs are all special needs with medical issues including Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia with heart failure, severe allergies requiring allergy injections, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Hypothyroidism and Cancer.
A. Please, always ask for references! It is important make sure that their service is Fully Insured & Bonded, do not be afraid to ask for documentation, if they are professional they should furnish you with the proper documentation when you meet them. If you are leaving your pet with a pet care serve operated at their home make sure it has been inspected by both the fire department & DEM (ask for proof), remember your pets are like your children would you allow your children into a day care that is not up to regulations? Ask alot of questions don't be afraid to really quiz who ever you are interviewing.
If you have any doubts look elsewhere!
A. We not only love what we do, but we live what we do.... caring for you pets is our priority! Our clients know they can depend on us whether they need our service, have a question or just need some advice, we are there for them.
Sherri's compassion and love can be seen in her efforts for helping defeated and unwanted dogs... she is very active in rescue, and would not think twice about hitting the road for a 10 hour road trip to save a dog from a kill shelter. To Sherri caring for pets is not just something she does, it's who she is!
A. Nothing beats the feeling of walking into our clients homes and have a dog waiting & wagging their tail with so much excitement to see us or having a cat rubbing and meowing against your legs... When was the last time you walked into your office and was welcomed with that much enthusiasm?
For over 10 years we have had amazing clients, we have seen puppies grow into dogs and kittens grow into cats, we have had to sadly say goodbye to some as they walk to the rainbow bridge and feel like we lost our own... I personally would not want to be doing anything else!
A. WHY DO YOU NOT TAKE CLIENTS INTO YOUR OWN HOME FOR OVERNIGHT CARE OR DOGGIE DAYCARE?
I don't do it because our clients are very important to us, to do it properly I would need to completely renovate my home complying with fire codes, sanitation inside & outside, and many other state & DEM regulations. PLEASE before you drop your dog off at a make shift dog daycare or for boarding at someones home make sure they are inspected with proper fire codes & licensed with the DEM! You can follow this link for a list of RI State Licensed Kennels ( http://www.dem.ri.gov/topics/erp/6_8_a11.pdf ).If they do not comply with the laws then they certainly do not care about your pets!
HOW MUCH NOTICE DO I NEED FOR YOUR SERVICES?
Once you have had a your complimentary Meet & Greet, you are considered a client. I have had clients that request me with an hours notice...
HOW FAST DO YOU BOOK UP?
Our overnight pet care is what books up very fast! Lisa & Jen can only be in one house at a time. We ask all our clients to please give Lisa & Jen plenty of notice! Our day to day service does book up for midday dog walks, but once you are established we will make sure to get your dog into the schedule whether it be 1 day a year or 7 days a week! For our cat clients we can always get you into our schedule, the good thing about cats is they don't need a midday walk (well I have never had one yet) and can be always be fit it!
