FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We get a lot of weddings and proms. We also have been getting a lot of requests for fashion shows and high fashion shoots.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
More expensive is not always better. Some of the best makeup and hair styles I have ever gotten were from some of the least expensive providers. That being said, any professional has the knowledge that say a "friend who is really good at makeup" may not. Events such as weddings or proms where there are a lot of photographs taken require special techniques that the average person may not know, so I would always advise clients to use a professional.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish more people understood the investment that goes into being a hair or makeup artist. Financially it is huge. A basic makeup kit easily costs $1,000, a great brush set add another thousand. A good artist easily has $5,000 invested into product alone. It also takes a lot of time and practice to master what we do.
