FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a photography instructor at a college, I am constantly staying up on latest developments, both through idea sharing, as well as independent research, what new technology and techniques are available, as well as utilizing my membership on lynda.com (a resource for continuing education for those in the digital arts fields).
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I like to say photography found me. From the first time I used a camera, I loved it. I was fortunate to have a family that supported me going into the arts, and they've been behind me every step of the way. My job is a blessing, and I feel lucky to have found a career that doesn't feel so much like "work."
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most frequently, I work with people, both events and what I call "controlled environments," meaning headshots/portraits, etc. Most recently, I've worked with a makeup artist to diversify her portfolio with some beauty work, and also with a coffee company that is debuting their new bags/branding.
