I can't imagine why these 2 people would rate 5 stars, I was referred by a mutual acquaintance when my laptop was damaged. I called Dan and he assured me that he could easily fix it in one day. I met him to give it to him and explain what happened and was told I'd have it back the next day working like new. Three days went by and I had not heard anything. I decided to go to his "office" which turned out to be an apartment. When I knocked on the door and he answered I was overwhelmed by the smell of marijuana and greeted with a "yeah" which I thought to be less than professional to say the least (could use a different term). When I asked if my laptop was ready I was told he hadn't had a chance to get to it yet. I then said just give it back to me and I'd take it elsewhere and had to wait close to 30 minutes for him to dig through the clutter of broken clutter and computer parts for him to find it. He was in no way professional and could really care less about a customer's satisfaction. He advertises that he is a professional and although he might know something about computers he showed no professionalism at all. I was extremely upset and surprised as well. His "office" didn't exist and seemed more like a hangout for the neighborhood pot heads. I would in NO WAY RECCOMEND his services to anyone. Do not be fooled by this guy. I rate one star because they don't have a zero rating

I remember the details of this person well. I am skilled in my craft, however my knowledge base and toolkit comes up short when miracles are required. A detailed and timely diagnostic was rendered. I handle pricing really simple. The labor is negotiated at a flat rate prior to any service. Any labor required to complete the service is covered by that flat rate. I am not always able to restore electronics to an operational or optimal design specification with my talents and or want to. Sometimes parts are required. When this happens, they are not covered by the labor cost. That is explained ahead of time naturally. I pride myself on communicated the exact technical issue, and my view on what is needed to correct it. In most instances people either understand, or respond with a jovial and simple request to get it done. After reading this review I am sad to say what I originally thought was my failure to communicate was actually a success in not being manipulated. This person argued that the parts should be covered by my original labor quote. When I made efforts to explain labor cost versus material cost, the tension and ill will was greatly magnified by this client. Followed by my becoming subject to a moderately laughable telephonic bullying episode. I endured the cursing and screaming, confused by it I simply restated my diagnostic and results and recommendations. The relationship with the client was not one I could salvage. He stated he refused to pay the labor, at this point I told the gentleman the laptop was awaiting him to pick it up, I would not be giving away a delivery service. And over the next few days, I made attempts to contact and communicate with the client. All attempts failed. Several weeks later the customer made a surprise visit at nine o'clock at night. I was happy to be putting it behind me. In what seemed like yet another attempt to get something for nothing, the client became enraged when he discovered the laptop still did not power on. Threats against me, my property and business interest were made, and I guess realized here in some angry, sad, semi-sadistic review. All of my clients are informed that my home and office are one in the same. I made a full-time attempt to start a consulting and service business, with a start-up capital of zero and a negative figure in the bank. I do not offer parts for retail or advertise as such. Most of my clients appreciate the results of low overhead when they pay for services. I sincerely wish the time it took to compose this review, the time spent servicing this client could have been allocated to a more productive task. This is sadly another case and reminder that some people conduct themselves with a false sense of entitlement and a deeply disturbed sense of superiority. Displaying an all to common set of character traits that are typically found in infants whom have become irritable with a diaper that requires changing. The accusation of narcotics is just another feeble attempt at defamation. ********************************************************************************* Fun fact: On April 9th, this clients’ wife brought the laptop over, with an apology and declared a state of crisis. Her husband made two additional efforts elsewhere to get the unit fixed, declining due to price in both cases. She stated all she needed were pictures of her children that were on the laptop. We opened the drive cover then and there, found it empty. Alarmed I told her it was likely left out at the last place of service. We were able to get a part number from the HP support site. We called the local retail and service location, they found a few matches, long story short, she paid the original labor and I recovered the pictures at no additional cost.

I had my computer fixed by another person, whom seemed to mess it up even more. I contacted Dan, and he was very respectful to me. He actually met me to get my computer and had it back to within 2 days fixed and working great. He seemed to go out of his way to help and explained to detail what was wrong and how he fixed it. He also was very affordable and cheap I believe for the work he had done. I have and will always refer him and his company to my all my family and friends.

Wow, thank you so much! Just when giving up on things feels like it's an inch away, I find these reviews. Your words, along with these others are exactly what I needed. Thanks again!

That's too bad about that last guy's experience. Dan seems to be the most successful with set appointments, where he comes to do the work at your location. He has taken very good care of several of my computers for years and is brilliant. He can do anything.

Dan was very nice. He came to our house, picked up the computer, fixed the issues with the computer, thoroughly explained what happened to the computer, and was very reasonable in cost. I would highly recommend him to anyone and use his services again in the future!
