Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Be honest, and give as much information as possible.
When you have your meeting and during Pre-Marriage Counseling; do not say what you think you should say but say what you feel.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Find someone who top reason for being a Wedding Officiant is not the money. Marriage is intended to be a loving, rewarding institution to bring children into the world, and; Children are raised to enter into their own marriage unions -- and repeat the cycle. Find someone who is willing to help you make this a lifelong commitment.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Will you marry us if we are of different faiths?
Will you marry us if one or both of us have been divorced?
Will you officiate our ceremony if we are not current members of your church?
What is your fee, what does it cover
Do you require premarital or religious classes? What are those requirements?
Can we personalize our ceremony by writing our own vows or selecting specific readings or music?
Will you give a sermon during the ceremony?
If so, can we have some input?
Do we bring you the marriage license before the wedding date? Will you turn it into the state for us?
Would you like to come to the wedding reception with your spouse?
Will you play any role in the ceremony -- give a blessing or prayer before the meal?
Are there any restrictions as to our attire, or our bridal party's attire?
