Make sure your pool table is properly taken apart for a safe move. Never attempt moving your pool table without taking it apart. Save the Feats of Strength for FESTIVUS! Also, when moving, that is the perfect time to change the cloth if desired. If the table was installed correctly to begin with, you can use the same cloth again. Residential tables usually have five to eight years of life in the cloth, so if there are no obvious flaws with it, only replace it for a different color. Finally, check the rail rubber, especially if you have not played in a while. The natural gum rubber could be bad resulting in a dead rail. This repair is more challenging than a recover and can be performed at the same time. Expect a minimum of 4 hours to properly and safely move and reinstall your table.
