Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Our most common types of jobs are for high end vacation rental cleaning. We manage countless properties throughout the year from Little River to Pawleys Island. This is by far our busiest service.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Ask lots of questions and be very specific. Ask for insurance and have their agent fax you a copy... don't accept a copy from the service provider, it may have lapsed and you will never know until it's too late.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. I have learned that in the service industry you get what you pay for. There are first time charges for maid service and lots of additional charges if you want a "complete" cleaning of your home. We differentiate ourselves from our competition by eliminating these charges and doing a deep clean every time for the price of basic services. So, be sure to ask exactly what you are going to receive for the money you are paying.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Simple! We are thorough and detailed. We do a deep cleaning every time we visit your home. We do not skip things like baseboards, microwave, ceiling fans, etc., and we do not charge extra for these items as many others do.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love meeting new people every day and seeing the smile on their face when we complete a job for them. The instant gratification that it brings keeps me loving my career day after day.
Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. Waterfed poles (pure water technology) is fast becoming an accepted form of window cleaning in the residential market. Not quite as good as climbing a ladder and getting up close and personal, but the new technology is saving lives and reducing injuries due to falls. In parts of the U.K. ladders are banned for window cleaning and their accident/ death rate from falls has dropped tremendously.
