David’s Song Desk offers professional song services.

Do you have a song or poem, or even a letter you've written and would love to turn that idea into a song? Are you a prolific song or poetry writer and would like to have put into a correctly structured and arranged set of lyrics ready for having a music score added? Do you already have songs written but no way to get them into the hands of music industry professionals on Music Row in Nashville? If you can answer yes to any one of these questions, you need to keep on reading.

David's Song Desk does just that and more. David Lambert, based out of his Spartanburg, SC home office/studio is a skilled tune crafter. He is a registered professional writer/composer and artist with both BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) as well as ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers). David participates numerous times in the singer/songwriter circuits at a variety of venues in Nashville and has made many contacts there along the way. He continually exchanges information about the latest writing style(s) being shopped, artists who are seeking new material by way of the major publishing houses.

Most music service companies will charge $50 to $75 or more to even review your lyrics or song and will then send only a critique sheet back to you without a suggested re-write to make the song stronger. Some other service companies will re-write the material for you, but, will add their writer(s) to the copyright as a co-write. Your songs are yours and should remain that way. David does not add his name to your copyrighted material. He does also do official song co-writes, if desired.

David will do this same service starting at $35 per song. Other services are available such as co-writes, demo production (outsourced to Nashville) and submission to publishers. Please respond for a complete offering and payment terms and a description of all services offered. The next best hit just has not been written yet!

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Collaboration is now the standard in songwriting.
• If you concentrate on writing words and leave the music to someone else, you're not alone. Almost every song recorded in Nashville is written by more than one writer. Some are better at lyrics, others better at music. Together they write the good stuff. And together they stand a better chance of getting their work recorded and sold.
