About Sure Load Moving

Sure Load Moving has been serving the Lowcountry for almost 8 years. We offer Full Service Moves, Packing and Labor.

When hiring your moving help, the three most important things are Insurance, Bond and References. We have all and still have the same rates as the “other guys”. Why risk hiring a mover that could be stealing your things, running off with your personal information or could get hurt on the move and sue you or the complex you are at. There are many apartment complexes in the Tri-County area that can and will stop a move if you have uninsured movers at the complex.

Plus, do you really know who you are hiring? Sure Load Moving is locally-owned and operated. Our crews are uniformed, non-smoking and are not temps. We do not sub out our jobs and our crews are employees. No standing on the cell phone on your time. Our 3 tags are personable, polite & professional. We understand this is a stressful day and are here to make it that much easier.

What if on your big day your mover doesn’t show? That’s all you get is a voicemail and your stuck with a “no-show” mover. Not us! We also have two dedicated phone lines for our customers. You can call us day or night from any time-zone to book an appointment or just have general questions answered. Don’t let your movers problems become your problems on your big day.

We also invoice every job. We take all forms of payment including credit cards, cash and checks. We serve our customers 7 days a week and have hundreds of references. We never have a stair fee, fuel charge. Never an additional charge! We just charge our flat rate with a two hour minimum.

So, if you have any questions, just pick up the phone and give us a call. We have no deposit or booking fees and can be reached 7 days a week. Overwhelmed with your move? Just give us a call and set up a free “in-home” estimate if you think your move is going to take longer then two hours, or stop by our office for a free labor estimate.

A. Customer Life Advice- Best so far- "Son the only reason why My Husband I are still married is because we never wanted to get divorced at the same time"

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. How important it is to hire Movers who Care. If you work hard for your belongings it makes sense to hire a Company that understands that and can guide you through the process of protecting your belongings so they can last a lifetime.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. When I was 15 i helped my Best Friend load his Mothers Uhaul when she was Moving to New Hampshire. It was a great workout and I enjoyed the challange of the Tetris like skills it took to load the truck correct. Then she gave us $40 dollars each and that made it even more rewarding.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. Helping a gentleman that was on a fixed income. He sent me a letter in the mail (yes snail mail-LOL) thanking myself and my crew for making his Moving Experience not only the Most cost efficent move he had ever experienced , but he also stated he had always felt overwhelmed on move day until he used us. It is rewarding when someone takes the time to remind you what makes you love what you do.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. We are a member of the AMLPA. We go through the FPP training program. i am very active in communications with other small moving companies on the east coast where we regularly share tips and trade secrets to help us all improve.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Straps (yes like the ones you see on tv). Straps are great because not only can you pick up very heavy pieces with them, but unlike dollies the piece is picked off the floor so you don't have to worry about the marks that dollies can leave on flooring.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. We moved the oldest home in Charleston SC. It had been converted into a libary and we have helped the homeowner with several staging projects and other smaller moves over the years. On his big day we moved over 5000 books and shelves along with many old and antique pieces. We also have done some interesting moves for U.S. Border Patrol doing moves in their offices.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. We have a very basic pricing system with 4 diffrent options that can help suit anyones Moving Needs. Click on the Rates section of our website on www.sureloadmoving.com. We have the lowest rates registered with the state for Local Movers.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. That how you treat your Customers will make or break your business. Even in the case when you have the most unreasonable customer , you must always remember there is always a middle ground. Word of mouth can be as good or as bad as you make it. A true Business Man not only understands this , but believes this and lives by this.

Q. Write your own question and answer it.

A. What do you love about your job?

The challanges, managing Crews, the challanges of getting new work, keeping your equipment and trucks up to date. The joys of meeting new people. There is never a dejavu' in this business , every day brings something new and challanging.
