Our Training Philosophy
Creating the A aah Moment
I am often asked- What techniques or training methods do you use? How would you describe what it is you do? Obviously, I have given this a great deal of thought because it is always important to be able to verbalize what it is you do- your successes, your accomplishments. But in this instance, I found that words did not tell the full story. What I came to understand is what I do is not about just words. I realized that it was the ability to create an experience, a feeling, a moment.
It's A aah!!
Come on, you know what I mean. It's that moment when you and your dog are together, and the feeling, the emotion that comes from that experience.
You know-A aah! At peace with everything!
It is not a word.
No barking at things you can't see. No jumping, pulling, or anxiety. No chewed Jimmy Choo shoes. No disappearing chicken from the kitchen counter. You get the picture- all of the things that caused you a fair amount of angst.
A aah-just you and your pack. At peace!
This what we do!
