Survey findings and summary
Thumbtack.com, in partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, has released the new results from the second annual Thumbtack.com Small Business Survey. The 2013 study draws upon data from over 7,000 small business owners nationwide and shows that small business owners view Tennessee quite favorably, especially its business-friendly regulatory systems.
Some of the key findings for Tennessee include:
- Tennessee earned a pair of 'A' grades from small businesses for the ease of hiring employees in the state and for its business-friendly labor laws.
- The state ranked among the 10 easiest states for establishing a new business. Tennessee was also rated #5 for its online resources for those starting a company.
