- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love animals, plain and simple. Unable to have a pet of my own, I began walking dogs for neighbors at the age of 9, over 26 years ago, and never stopped!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would advise that customers look for someone with animal experience outside of pet sitting, i.e. veterinary clinics, farms, pet stores, etc. so they know the professional will be prepared in any situation. Also, ask for references. If a professional is unable or unwilling to provide these be wary of hiring them. Customers can also check into memberships of professional pet sitters. MCPS is a current member of Professional United Pet Sitters Association and fully insured and bonded.
