- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We estimate our jobs by the time it will take to clean a home. However, we must take into consideration the uniqueness of each home. How organized is the home, how many children are present, how many bathrooms need to be cleaned? Some homes are more complicated because of family treasures. Some homes are fuller, some are more streamlined. We also consider the transportation costs. If we have homes in the area we may charge less, if the only one, more. We also consider the customers personal needs. We have charged less for some who have a greater need for help, but have less financial resources to pay for the job. Others we charge a general rate because they are simply hiring someone to clean their home.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
When we were asked to help an elderly couple clean their home when they were both in the hospital, we went in and did a thorough cleaning of their entire house. As we cleaned, we saw they needed help organizing their second floor storage that had gotten out of control. Since the beginning, we have become part of their family. We are assisting their children in managing their parents home so that the burden is less on everyone. Their environment is cleaner, more organized, and everyone is happier.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
