Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When looking to hire a service provider, you need to consider the following:

• Are they an expert at what they do?
• Are they a good fit for me and my goals?
• Do they advance my goals / purpose?
• Can we work together and build a relationship?

We Answer these questions in the following way:

• We’re Professional Branding Experts–QCMG is the only premiere branding studio in Nashville. You should hire a branding studio if you’re launching a new product, service, business, company or organization for sure.

• You should read our values–If they don’t jive, thanks for checking us out, we’re honored you stopped by.

• Your goals should be focused, and we ensure you have them. We advance and manage all brands based on the Ideals of an Energized Brand–we hope you're up to it!

• We're interested in the long-haul. Our basic clients tend to stick with us for at least 12-24 months or more–We’re here for you.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. There are a few things that you need to ensure that you have together.

1.) Specific Goals–this is incredibly important. You need to understand the metric and result you're desiring to achieve.

2.) Pain–while we hope you're not "in pain," pain is a good word for business conflict or troubled growth. You need to know what the item is you want to push through. Examples of this are "I'm embarrassed when I give out my business card," or "I hate our website, its archaic."

3.) Beat and Pulse–These are two words that help you know where you are currently and where you are in relation to the industry / competition / world around you. You need to have a semi-realistic approach about the landscape around you and your brand. If not, we can't educated a delusional business model.

4.) Budget–Your brands success is directly related to your ability to invest in your brand design, website, or project. Our services have a cost, non-negotiable. :)

5.) Willingness–we hope that you see yourself as an expert in your field. We are too. In that spirit, you need to truly assess your ability to listen to skills that you may not be an expert in.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. There's 3 reasons that our work stands out from among our competition.

1.) Our field–there are currently very few branding organizations that focus on the creation and development of only brands. Our next of kin (professionally) is in Atlanta and Greenville, SC. We're the only branding studio in Nashville that creates brands.

2.) We work exclusively with brands. We're not a "one-stop-shop." We also don't believe that you should attempt to be one either. We work with industry-leading partners when it comes to services we don't offer, but exclusively focus on brand development.

3.) One size fits one. QCMG does NOT believe that one size fits all, and with that in mind, our team is devoted to the utmost brand excellence in your field–from design research to conversations with clients where we're asking tough questions that drive to the core of why you believe what you believe, and do what you do.

4.) Our Passion. While we can tease and say that we're the most passionate people we know, we're also probably the most passionate people most people know. We are sopping wet with brand passion, preach the gospel of authentic relationships, and dream at night about honest businesses, focused on human being, not human doing.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I (Stæven) love that I get to talk everyday with people about who they are and what they love doing.

I get to connect the dots with their hearts most utter passions and desires to change the world while nurturing the uniqueness that's inside them.

While this may sound a little hokey, its the core of what we believe–that people are drawn to energized brand–people, products, and services which are unique and connected to equally passionate people with purpose.

I get to consistently touch the ways that people view themselves and how they communicate, providing them a plan to go out and do what they're best at. Its empowering, really.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. We stay a-breadth the latest developments in our field a few different ways.

Our owner, Stæven, just got his Master in Fine Arts in 2010 in Media Design–developing a thesis that partnered two organizations together for a mutual cause. He was Valedictorian and had a 4.0–he's that passionate about it.

We have team development meetings, retreats, and internal exercises to continually work on our perception and understanding of the industry.

In some ways, we hope to be setting the industry in a new direction–by developing custom typefaces, creating new brands that represent new and profitable ideas (on all levels) that will impact both our industry and the world as we know it.

There's also blogs, magazines, and books too. They're all good, but we strive to maintain a balanced perspective that is both progressive methodologically and principally conservative.
