Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I started out buying old houses and flipping them in the 12 South Area from 1997-2007. I have rehabed about 75 of my own homes in that period.
I also built new construction homes in the 12 South Area.
Today I do the same thing only they are my customers projects.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. The best advise is to make sure they are licensed,insured
and they can provide many referrals from former customers.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I would like to make sure the contractor I was going to
hire could back up any promises that were made.
That would take less stress off me and the project!!

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Have a budget in mind is always best before starting a project. Knowing what kind of look they are going for and having photos or examples to show the contractor.
There are so many choices these days so everybody needs to be on the same page for all phases of the project.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We have over 75 repeat customers since 1995 with many refearrals.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. When the customer is happy with our work and gives us a great referral.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. They want to know if we are licensed and insured.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. Milmar helped on a rehab for the Harvest Home that
gives young people a place to go after there let out of school.
The kids are from a lower income situation.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Milmar has around 75 repeat customers since 1995,
and many referral letters to back up our work over the years.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I owned a old house in the Music Row area where I ran
a coulple of recording studios. The house always needed
repairs so I ended up doing the work myself learning on the job training so to speak.
I did have an experience contractor guiding me how to do
the jobs the right way.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. My wife is a home designer and we built two beautiful
townhomes at 915 Waldkirch Ave in Nashville.
They have that old English look with lots of stone and brick
etc. We sold each unit in the $500k price range in 2007.
