FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Blue Chip Pet Care was founded on a simple need. Hunter Reed was living in a condo building in downtown Nashville and realized that he needed some extra help with his Brindle Boxer, Bella. Whenever he traveled it was difficult to make plans and especially to feel confident what was best for Bella. He worried about her being home alone for extended periods of time when he was working a long day. Hunter discovered a couple independent pet sitters but was hoping for a more involved company that could feel his needs on a regular basis. One that did so on a professional level with a high quality of service. Enjoying the outdoors and having a passion for animals he started Lucky Dog Nashville in 2009.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Our number 1 service is weekly dog walking for 20-25 minute visits. This service is for our clients who have a far commute to and from work and want some good exercise for their pet. Our #2 service is weekend pet sitting, for those frequent travelers. This is a mixture of our shorter visits and the 20-25 minute visits.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Are they insured and bonded? Do have they provide references or can you find online recommendations about their services. What are their payment options and how long have they been in business? You also might if their is a screening process is in place for pet handlers.
