FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every house is estimated based on size of the roof, components on the roof, steepness or pitch, layers of material, type of material, upgrades, and much more. Safety, code enforcement(your home may not be up to code since the last roof was installed) and cleanliness before, during and after play a role in pricing too. Often your insurance company under pays you for the actual work required to do our job successfully without putting ourselves in danger or violating city, state and federal codes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As preferred contractors for CertainTeed, Owens Corning and Atlas roofing manufacturers, we are bound to continue education annually and keep up to date with current products being offered in our market or new techniques of installing. Our job is to make sure you stay dry. The industry has trade shows every year and we participate there as well to make sure we are informed on every aspect from the ground up relating to our industry.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was common sense for me. I'm good with numbers and you have to be good at math and client relations to be in the roofing industry. Many people can not calculate simple algebra and geometry. The roof shapes are mostly geometric shapes that requires special formulas to give accurate estimates without leaving your invoice open ended. I can do the math. We order as precise as possible so that the overhead remains controllable to our standards. Also, the company is family owned and operated so when the opportunity came up, I jumped right in.
