FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My continuing education consists of reading magazines, books, and internet articles. But my best education comes from experience. I'm always on the lookout for a chance to try something new. When I'm on location I shoot about 500 pics per hour. I study each and every single one, and I learn from them.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
For me its difficult to pinpoint the moment I went from a picture taker to a photographer. I was always regarded as the photographer of the family, the photographer of the group, the photographer of the platoon, etc. Then in 2005 I picked up my first Professional SLR camera, two years later I was offering my services as an amateur then began to buy all top-of-the-line professional gear. So when someone asks me how much experience I have, I like to think that I've been shooting my whole life, but I only count that last few years.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My most common types of jobs are weddings and portraits. I like to treat every shoot as if I was taking portraits. I shoot parties and other celebrations. I have also been hired to photograph pets, cars, boats, and cell towers. By far my favorite type of photoshoots are portraits because they are more focused on subjects. weddings are far more difficult as we are photographing an event with lots and lots of people, but I love doing it almost as much.
