Acupuncture tends to work best in a series of treatments. Community acupuncture clinics offer treament on a sliding scale so that you can actually afford to use acupuncture realistically and to your best advantage. For acute problems you might plan on a short burst of close together treatments. For more chronic conditions, you might plan on coming weekly or bi-weekly for a more extended time.
