Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Think about what you need in detail, and be sure to review the photographer's portfolio and make sure his/her style suits your needs. Discuss the rights to the photos up front especially for personal event photos.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I want everyone to understand that taking the photos is only half the work. A lot of thoughts go into processing and organizing the final photos, which can take and usually takes longer than the photo-taking process.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. Make sure you know your equipment well. You'd be surprised how many people can't do that yet they are still in the photography business... At the same time, show your work by showing your photos and sharing your thoughts, not by talking about the gear and worrying about technical details.
