Daniel and Coleen Yantis have been hosting events for over 15 years. They are experienced entertainers specializing in weddings. They use the latest equipment in all their event packages. "We pride ourselves on 'top notch' performances and having every requested song title."

Depending on your needs, our Master of Ceremony will announce your entire event. We will announce your arrival, the wedding party and your special guests. Then, after guests associate, we can guide your event through dinner plans, cutting the cake and making toasts. From the first dance, to the last dance, smooth sailing all the way. Let our experienced speaker take care of you. Then again, you may want us to just play music, it's entirely up to you!

    We loved D&C entertainment. We just used them for the 2nd event in the last 2 yrs, plus have seen them at school events. they are professional and really do a great job getting the kids involved! We highly recommend Coleen and Daniel!

    Daniel and Colleen provided the music for my son's wedding and did a fantatisic job. They were very helpful in keeping the flow of the wedding going, especially for those of us that had no idea what to expect. The music was great and everyone was very pleased. My son and his wife were very happy with the service given by Daniel and Colleen. Everyone commented on the awesome job they did. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and would definitley use them again at any event that needed music.

    I am so thankful to D&C for making our wedding run so smoothly, and making it so special! I HIGHLY recommend using D & C Entertainment for your event!! I used them for my May 29th wedding, and was very impressed with how awesome they were. I don't know WHAT we would have done without their expertise to guide us along our wedding timeline. All of our guests complimented how awesome our DJ was! My sister even said, "I was so tired, but every time I went to sit down, they would play another awesome song! I couldn't stop dancing!" They played all of our requests, and the lights were such a great touch! All of our friends and family danced all night long, and had such a great time... all credit to D&C Entertainment!! Daniel and Colleen FAR exceeded any expectations. I am so happy we chose to have them be a part of our special day! They won't let you down! :)

    D & C were the DJs for my daughter's wedding and did a fantastic job. From the first minutes of the ceremony to the end of the reception, they played the perfect music, involved the audience, made announcements and were very personable to all attendees. I highly recommend D & C.

    If you want an OVER THE TOP party you will not go wrong with Daniel and Coleen! We are from Wisconsin and hired them for our daughter's wedding at Red Corral Ranch in Wimberley online. We were blessed to find them. Felt like family right from the start! I can't say enough about the Great sound, music selection and personal attention. We can't thank them enough for a WONDERFUL WEDDING PARTY! They are truly awesome! You'd be lucky to get them at your party!

    D&C Entertainment was an excellent choice for our wedding ceremony and reception. During the months of planning before the wedding, they were friendly, gave me advice, and honored my song requests. They arrived ready and on time, played great songs that got everyone on the dance floor, and helped me stay with my time-line for the night. Their sound was perfect, not too loud during dinner, not too soft during party time! The lights were also amazing! I know everyone had a wonderful time and that was due to the wonderful expertise of Daniel and Coleen! Thank you!

    Coleen has done such a great job DJing for our kids' school. We've used her since the 5th grade graduation party and then on to the middle school dances. She gets the kids out there, plays their requests (when they are appropriate) and is a pleasure to work with! She's booked for all of our middle school dances that the PTA puts on!

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Look around before you settle on a DJ. You need to like your DJ and feel comfortable with them. Make sure they have been around a while and have good (and verifiable) reviews.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Be Careful of "Booking Agents". You may think you are booking your DJ when that person is not really going to be your DJ. They are simply booking your event for someone else, sometimes even a new beginning DJ. When you book your DJ, make sure to ask if that person is going to be THE DJ FOR YOUR EVENT.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Really, the most important thing is to know your event date. However, generally speaking, you book your venue before the DJ and this is not an issue. Also, it's a good idea to look over our web site before you call us. All the things you need to know are on our site. You can even call some of our references.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. We played music at a wedding recently where the mother of the bride hired us for "background" music. She warned that they did not dance and they didn't want lights. Coleen and I were understandably worried that the event was going to be a bit slow...
When the night was over they not only were dancing, but mom was greatly surprised to find out that her daughter was one of the first on the dance floor! The entire group danced to a variety of oldies and top hits. It's a good thing we always bring a least some lighting!

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. DJing is harder than it looks or sounds. For real, you must be in touch with the group and figure out what song would make people happy next. The energy has to be right for people to dance and have a good time. You also have to mix it up some. Too many songs of the same genre will burn out the group. A few slow songs here and there is very important. Mixing from country to pop then hip hop is not as easy at it may seem. The songs must flow and create a dance environment.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Coleen was working as a DJ in the Round Rock Roller Rink when Daniel Met her. Daniel was a computer consultant providing technical assistance to another entertainment company who was visiting the roller rink...
Need I say more? Coleen and Daniel have been together every since that day in 1997!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Staying up to date in the music field is not so hard.
Getting the music in CD format is a lot more difficult!
We subscribe to 'Top Hits USA' music and video service. They provide us with radio and dirty versions of all the top music played on the radio today and in all top genres.

A. Our pricing i fairly simple:
$595 for 4 hours of party fun with Top Hit music
$75 per extra hour over the 4 hours included

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Be ready to spend money! It's easy to get an iPod and load it with music... But if a client pays 400 to 600 bucks for a DJ, they expect professional gear. We have over $8,000 in gear that we bring to every event.

A. Q: Do you have backup equipment? What happens if you have equipment failure? What is your backup plan if things go bad?

A: Everything is going digital today. Who uses CDs anymore? Well, in truth, we still bring CDs as backup in case the computer fails. We also bring a backup digital systems in case our main system fails. All of your requested music if written to CDs and put on our backup system before we come to your event. We have you covered in more ways than one.

A. Q: What happens if the power fails?

A: We can not be responsible for power failures. We make it clear that the facility must have (2) 15amp circuits for our use. We bring lights and audio gear that is professional quality and uses plenty of power. Make sure to ask your venue if they provide enough power.
