FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Unless its a flat fee case, I bill on an hourly system. The retainer is essentially a down payment for future services, not a quote as to all that will take to finish the case. On hourly cases, a billing statement is sent out that shows what has been done and the cost and the balance of the retainer, so clients will know where they stand and if any more money is owed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As lawyers, we are required to complete 15 hours a year of continuing legal education to stay current on advances in the field. Outside of that we also receive the Texas Bar Journel every month that relays important information about the field. As lawyers we are always learning so that we can serve our clients better.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My practice is primary focused in the areas of Family Law and Criminal Law. In family law, I do all aspects including but not limited to: divorce, custody, order enforcement or modification, adoption. In criminal law I handle traffic tickets, misdemeanor, and felony defense. I also draft wills, power's of attorney, and demand letters and also handle probate and guardianship matters.
