Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Ask questions...I understand being in a hurry to hire someone to complete a repair, especially if you have started and unable to finish. I hear too often "I am so glad to have found you, I started to fix it and realized I was in over my head, then I hired this other guy...and he did not fix it, he never showed back up or returned my calls."
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. What is inside those walls? Most interior walls are hollow, where most exterior walls are insulated. There is generally plumbing or electrical only directly about a fixture or appliance.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Being a local handyman allows me to offer direct customer service to my customers. I live in the area that I work and am active with the community and their needs.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Problem solving!!! When a client has an idea but just does not know how to get there, there are no products available to assist and they turn to me...this is my day!
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Will I have to contract another professional to do the other work (carpentry, drywall, electrical, plumbing, etc.)? No, I do it all, just me, no crews or subcontractors, hence the name "TheHandymanKeith".
Q. What are you currently working on improving?
A. Networking!!! I am fairly "old-fashioned" when it comes to my marketing and networking, word of mouth only. with our new social media and technology advances almost daily, everything has become "word of mouth". Therefore I am striving to keep up or even ahead of the curve.
