Question and answer
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Being familiar with the weather patterns from year to year is an advantage. When, where and how on planting, maintaining and building issues are golden nuggets of knowledge obtained from family generations.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. As a native of Austin and life-long student of the environment my knowledge is invaluable. Some say that my pricing is too cheap. However, unlike others, I stay small and do almost all of the work myself and keep a very low overhead. I consider customers as neighbors. I want them to smile. After earning a BA and spending the last 14 years in civil engineering I happily made the transition to do what I enjoy most.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Creating, using natural materials and living things to make a new world.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. Probably the one about the time I was tree'd by wild hogs on the Balcones Canyonland Preserve during exploration.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. Your smile is my goal.
