About FireMakeup Artistry by Jessi Pagel

hired 1 time on Thumbtack

Since 1999, I have been a freelance makeup and hair artist; with experience in wardrobe styling, set design, and art direction. This awesome journey of learning how to hone my craft is never-ending.

I also spent two and a half years as an artist representative and agent for a high-end fashion agency. I am a very lucky gal to have this much experience, young as I am, and to love what I do.

My resume credits are in the areas of: film and photography, high fashion and haute couture, runway, boudoir, avant garde, television and reality TV shows, music videos, wedding, beauty, and commercial.

My hourly rate depends on the assignment; from personal photo shoots, special events to television and more.

She's awesome. Filming in 4k shows every imperfection in the makeup and she was not only great to work with but did a really clean job.

    Would hire again.

Jessi Pagel has helped me with make up a few times, she combines years of experience, professionalism, and a tender touch of care that makes you want to keep coming back. With reasonable prices and the best products Jessi is indeed a Fire Make up Artist!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Wedding, Modeling Portfolios, Fashion, Runway, Print, Ad Campaigns, Commercial, Television, Film, Music Video and so much more!

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Please be sure to know your makeup artist/hair stylist's work before you hire them for your wedding or photoshoot! Knowing someone's work is the best, is better than hoping for the best!

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. The most important secret is know who you hire! Schedule a coffee meeting or make that phone call. Meeting someone face to face really insures that you can trust who you hire. Even if you are conversing via internet, ask for more images of their work!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I have been told that I bring out the natural beauty in everyone. I am not heavy handed unless the job calls for it. Natural beauty in this day and age is very important with regard to digital cameras and hi-def videos. Because of that I am very precise with blending, and keeping every face flawless.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I really wish brides fully understood how important it is to hire a makeup artist and hairstylist WITH a trial run! There are so many brides that weren't happy with their big day because of that! They are so important, not only to alleviate stress on that wedding day, but to be confident that you are happy in your hair and makeup! It's just one less worry!

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. Pricing depends on project! Negotiations are avaiable!
