We are providing at-home massage and massage education to Austin and surrounding areas.
Loving Touch International Infant Massage classes and Couple's Care Massage classes teach families how to care for each other in the comfort of your own home.
Massage sessions are combo of Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release, tailored to your body. Ninety-minute to 2-hour sessions are recommended.
I am also trained in Oncology massage through MD Anderson's Integrative Medicine Program.
A. Look for a therapist with experience, and who listens to what you need for your body.
Massage shouldn't hurt--if your body is tensing up in response to pressure, tell your therapist.
Every body is different, and every day it requires a slightly different approach dependent on stress levels--some days you may be more sensitive than others.
A great therapists listens to your body's needs, and to your feedback.
A. Stretching is key to keeping your body limber and loose. The more you stretch, the better your body feels.
Massage therapists get to put their bodies through different ranges of motion throughout the day, and stretching is what makes it possible for us to do very physically taxing work for hours on end.
That and keeping well hydrated!
