Take your pain into your own hands by hiring ours!
We are licensed massage therapists in private practice, specializing in pain relief through clinical massage therapy.
We incorporate a powerful and unique combination of therapeutic techniques into our practice including the following:
• Cold laser
• LPG endermologie and endermotherapy
• Myofascial release
• Postural and gait analysis
• Spray and stretch muscular release techniques
• Therapeutic kinesio taping
• Trigger point therapy
• Use of the deep muscle stimulator (D.M.S.)
Each one of us has a particular set of specialties to offer, too. Shane is a certified flexibility therapist, in addition to being a massage therapist; therefore, she incorporates P.N.F. stretching into many of his sessions. Susan has received negative pressure cupping massage training, and she often utilizes this modality.
Our training has allowed us to approach our practice from a highly clinical perspective. It has also permitted us to handle a collection of therapeutic tools, allowing us to provide our clients with powerful pain relief.
Come see us; we're "fixin' pains and takin' names!"
A. When it comes to massage, it can be a challenge to connect with the right practitioner for you, and finding that perfect fit can take some time. Remember that despite having tried (and perhaps having been disappointed by) other massage experiences in the past, you are sure to be rewarded by continuing with your search.
It's important to make your objectives and expectations clear when meeting with a new Massage Therapist so that the therapist can determine whether he or she will be able to meet your needs. (Are you seeking very specific pain relief? Would you like a more generalized relaxation massage? Are you seeking support in managing other health conditions or concerns?)
While we are happy to help our clients relax and manage stress, our speciality is pain relief through Clinical Massage Therapy.
We hope that our relaxed professionalism puts our clients at ease while our extensive education and training, and our results-driven approach to Massage Therapy deliver powerful pain relief.
Massage is a very personal and very personalized service provided to unique individuals by unique individuals. Our suggestion is to be vigilant in your search for the perfect practitioner for you, and once you do, stick with him or her!
A. Licensed Massage Therapists' level of education and training can vary greatly.
While every Licensed Massage Therapist has completed a minimum number of education hours, some therapists have gone on to obtain many hundreds of additional education hours.
After having completed the minimum number of education hours to become licensed to practice Massage Therapy, we both completed that same number of education hours all over again in the area of Clinical Massage Therapy.
We believe that our clinical training has allowed us to harness a powerful collection of skills that give us a distinct advantage when it comes to targeting clients' chronic and acute pain complaints.
A. What is your speciality?
How many hours' worth of training and / or years' worth of experience do you have in your specialty?
Is your practice more experiential-driven or more results-driven? (Is the therapist's goal for me to enjoy a blissful 60 or 90 minute session, or for me to enjoy the benefits - such as pain relief - of this session for weeks or months afterward?)
How long have you been practicing? Have you been practicing full time or part time during that time?
My main concerns / problems are ______. How can the modalities that you offer help me?
Why are you confident that these techniques will help me?
(While many Massage Therapists may advertise that they specialize in Trigger Point Therapy, for example, many of these therapists may have only attended a six hour-long class on the topic. We, however, have each completed 290 hours dedicated exclusively to Trigger Point Therapy. As a wise health care consumer, clarifying what, exactly, makes a therapist an "expert" in a particular modality is imperative.)
A. What is your objective in seeking out Massage Therapy? Are you seeking a specific result (pain relief, decreased swelling, increased range of motion, etc.), or are you simply looking for a relaxing experience? Are you willing to pay for training, experience, and expertise?
Since we offer somewhat of a hybrid experience, we always say that "Clinical Massage Therapy is for those who want to feel good and for those who need to feel better!"
Clients should be clear about the commitment that they are prepared to make and the investment (of both time and money) that they are willing to make in the resolution of the pain or condition that is of concern to them.
It's important to be realistic about the fact that, while some pain complaints may be resolved in one session, other more stubborn pain complaints can take several sessions to resolve. And some health conditions and / or postural dysfunction may require ongoing maintenance.
For those clients who are ready to commit to tackling a specific pain complaint or who are willing to embark on a long-term maintenance plan, we offer two discounted, pre-paid package options, which offer a significant discount on our hourly rate, and also provide us with a realistic time frame in which to address clients' concerns. We have attempted to design these packages with our clients' interests in mind (primarily affordability, flexibility, and convenience).
