I specialize in vegan and vegetarian meals, and don't charge extra for restricted diets or allergies. My clients love the personal attention I give, great seasonal menus, my ability to make healthy favorites, and coming home to a clean kitchen.
Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. I typically cook for busy families who are trying to eat healthier meals at home. Usually both parents have demanding work schedules and making meals after a long day is a difficulty. They may have young children and do not want to drive all around town and have them eat off the kid's menu (that means chicken nuggets or grilled cheese.)
Most of my clients are not vegetarian but do appreciate meatless meals and are trying to introduce more plant-based dishes to their children.
Others have multiple food allergies and appreciate plant-based dishes. I do not charge extra for food restrictions and learning about what is best for you.
I also can help out with birthday parties, special dinners, Mom's Night Out parties, holiday meals, picnics etc.
Since I am not a caterer, all food preparation needs to be done in your home.
Q. Write your own question and answer it.
A. What kind of food do you make? What is your specialty?
I like to create beautiful meals without the use of meat, fish or eggs. This is the main difference between my service and other personal chefs. Even though I eat mostly vegan meals myself, I do not have a problem creating dishes with organic and rennetless dairy products. Eating seasonally and using local ingredients is important to me. I also appreciate products made by traditional food artisans from around the world.
I would say that my specialty would be Asian and Indian dishes. Asian dishes are quite easy to make vegan and are loaded with vegetables. I love Indian food and have lived in temple ashrams where I helped make feasts for over 200 people.
