- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our trainers all have at least 5 years hands on professional training experience. All Leaps N' Hounds trainers are certified, holding one or more of the following credentials and/or titles: CPDT-KA (certified professional dog trainer - knowledge assessed), IPO I, IPO II, CGC evaluator, APDT registered dog trainer, Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Starmark Academy Graduate. All trainers have experience in obedience training, behavior modification, tracking and scent work, tricks and complex chaining, and a variety of dog sports.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
All of our trainers have a background in rescue and rehabilitation. Most of us got started at the local shelter, fell in love with training dogs in need, and developed it into a career.
