Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Do they actually have insurance or just hand you a piece of paper? An insurance certificate must come from the insurance provider and name you as co-insured to be legitimate. Don't accept a "piece of paper" or take someone's word about insurance. Many tree companies have only "landscaper's insurance" which doesn't cover them when the leave the ground or no insurance at all
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Experience, experience, experience. Too many people listed in the Yellow Pages claim to have experience but don't. It's not unusual to see a new tree company show up in the pone book claiming to have 20 years experience or that they are an "old family business" when they haven't actually been in business more than a few years. Their ISA Certification number is a place to start. The smaller the number, the longer they have been certified and therefore the longer they have been in the business of arboriculture.

A. Leading the way in scientific, cutting edge tree care, Austin Tree Specialists has been at the forefront of modern arboriculture in Central Texas since 1975. The owner, Patrick Wentworth, has won awards and recognition from his peers, his clients, and the community for outstanding work in the field of arboriculture.

A. The satisfaction that comes in preserving the urban forest for generations to come
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Certified? Yes, since it's inception in 1992 and I run the certification program for the entire state of Texas. My ISA Certified Arborist number is TX-0119. (Note: ISA started the numbering system with TX-100. The numbers were assigned alphabetically. I took the first test and aced it in June 1992.)
Insured? Yes, and we can prove it with an insurance certificate with the client named as co-insured. We do this frequently. Don't hesitate to ask for an insurance certificate.
Experienced? More than any other company in town - saving and preserving trees for more than 36 years.
