Beginning a yoga practice can seem daunting, but it is accessible to all ages, fitness levels and lifestyles if you have the right teacher. I believe in a balanced approach to yoga. Learning about your needs and physical structure allows me to develop a practice that is most appropriate and beneficial for you.
During your yoga session, I will focus on breath-centered movement to release tension in your body and help increase internal awareness. I help students develop self-compassion and provide them with tools to take off their mats and into their daily lives. One of my greatest strengths as a teacher is the ability to adapt and modify yoga postures for a your specific needs.
As a practitioner of yoga asana, pranayama and meditation for more than 15 years, I've had the opportunity to develop a well-rounded practice myself, and became Yoga Alliance certified at the 200-hour level in 2010. Since then, I have completed more than 160 hours of additional training in yoga anatomy with Lesilie Kaminoff and dvanced yoga therapy training for anxiety disorders & PTSD.
