We are absolutely thrilled with the results we've experienced with our puppy after Traci's 2 week "Puppy Headstart" program. It's incredible the amount out puppy was able to learn, retain and apply in her daily life. She is such a joy and a wonderful member of the family!

Posted my needs and the next day found a trainer. It was easy, which is what I needed.

I didn't get feedback during the boarding as I was promised. No follow up classes and when I requested the follow up vacation boarding the cost was nearly $100 a day. The $1300 I paid was higher then any other trainer quoted. My dog would not appear to have been trained at all. I was willing to blame myself but I have reached out to Traci and send my dog for a board and train again to see if it was just his age and me but Traci has not responded to me. She even promised technical support and that's difficult to deliver if she won't respond. I'm convinced at this point I was simply taken. Beware!
Training Spot's reply
This is a copy of the email I sent to Andrea, responding to her email sent to me after she posted this review - Andrea, It was a surprise to get this email - we haven't spoken since you went out of town the last time. When and how did you contact me that I didn't respond? You haven't contacted me for any additional lessons after the one where we introduced the new dog and I haven't gotten any feedback that you were having issues or that you had questions - last time we spoke, everything was going well. Give me a call and we can talk.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask questions and get references! You will get lots of conflicting information from the Internet and people that you ask for advice. Do your research, but nothing beats talking to the trainer to see if your philosophies match. The science of dog training has evolved, but there are still a lot of outdated methods being used. Ask for references and call them to find out how the trainer performed and how he/she interacted with their family and their dog(s).
