Getting engaged? Getting married? I can PHOTOGRAPH it!!!! Go to my website and find me! Would love to hear from you! – Aug 25, 2011 at 11:51 pm
Started in 2007 with a full-time passion!
I love capturing images of whatever crosses my path and have been doing so since 1999. I'm here to encourage, inspire and aspire to be all I can be as an artist, business person and servant to those in need!
If you need any photographic service at all - please give me a call!
My goal is to touch as many lives as possible with my creativity and love.
I'm married to the love of my life who is my supporter and helper. My life is not about me, but about you.
What can I do for you? How can I help? How can I use my gift/passion for your benefit? :)
Fresh into 2011 I bring you imagery for your special life events as well as artwork and portraits like you have not seen!
I specialize in weddings, portraits and abstractly unique artwork. You can see who I am in the images, but more importantly, you see yourself differently afterwards.
A. My photography and artwork stands out on its own as a high-contrast color & light filled imagery. I have been given a creative eye to see things that no one else can, including most clients who don't see themselves a certain way! I look into what is beneath and bring out the inward beauty that is there! My images tend to reflect YOU, my client. I am merely the vessel and photography is my tool! :)
A. I like setting my own pace & hours! I can be really busy or have a steady schedule that works around life. I love meeting new people around the metroplex as well as in other states or countries. People usually open my eyes to all the wonderful differences we have out there! I love that my job can open up opportunities anywhere!
A. "Why is your hair pink"?
I used to blend in the background both inwardly and outwardly. I was bashful and fearful about finding out who I truly was. Would I be loved? Would I be accepted? When I started finding myself and what I loved, the pink hair only became a natural choice. Red was too "subtle" for me and hard to keep up. The pink however? EASY! I believe that if you are your own boss AND creative, your looks should add to what you do - not take away. You won't find me just "blending in" anymore. :)
A. I was hired last minute for a New Year's Eve Wedding in 2010. The bride told me this: "Do you know why I waited so long to hire a photographer?"...."I HATE THE CAMERA!". I had to laugh at this, because she was verrrry beautiful and had picked this amazing dress to walk down the aisle with! We started our evening out in the BATHROOM at the McKinney chapel and ended up getting some great images of her in her dress! Later in the evening, she started asking for me to take pictures. I thought it was very very fun that she warmed up to the camera and just learned to forget it existed! I love the brides I run into!
A. I wish people knew that just because you have a camera and fancy equipment, doesn't always mean that person is a great photographer. There is something to be said to hard work, education and TIME devoted to our passion. Yes, I have been given a natural gift, but some things I have to work at to LEARN! :) Don't always go for the "cheapest" option, because when you do that? You are getting the cheaper result as well. Take the time to invest in your searches for a photographer. It will pay off. :)
A. After many years in the working world I discovered my TRUE passions were the creativity I had discovered. There were gifts inside me that were not awakened until many years later! It wasn't until less than 5 years ago that I truly believed I could do this as a profession. I would have spent another 10 years at a job, just paying bills if I wouldn't have had amazing encouragement from my husband, family and friends. I am more satisfied and fulfilled as a photographer/artist than ever before. I can only see AMAZING things for my future!!!!
A. I don't often shoot jewelry, but I took on a job with a local designer. He has been designing and creating for someone else for over 20 years...but decided to make his own inspirational jewelry! Well, Jewelry to me, is one of the hardest to capture with lighting, reflections and jewels. I was able to work through lighting challenges and learn on the job with his patience and my patience. Really, in the end it was about not giving up and really digging deep to LEARN Jewelry Photography. I am proud of this job because I was able to portray his art EXACTLY how he wanted and able to inspire women to purchase it so they really embrace the MEANING he puts behind them. :) Definitely one of my most memorable moments.
A. Why did you become a wedding photographer?
I got married in 2005, right as the digital world was really budding and I didn't understand it. I left the budget out of sight and out of mind and just decided that we could ask a co-worker to do it. While he did a great job, I felt that all the pictures taken by everyone and the photographer really didn't CAPTURE my special day. I had a very unique wedding with friends dressed as Blue Men and lots of fun decorations. I didn't get the same capture that I had deep down wanted, but I am still thankful SOMEONE took pictures. It has been my mission ever since to make sure that brides & grooms that connect with me get AMAZING images that they can re-live over and over and over. If you ever meet with me to book a wedding, ask me to show you the wedding album. :)
