Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. The most common is lawn mowing, but spring its probably laying sod and installing ponds.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Hire a small company get as many Bids as possible.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. How hard the work is and in Texas you better like the heat.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Customers should ask as many questions as possible, see if they are insured, ask to see some pictures of work, get as many references as possible. And last get at least three bids.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Have a general idea of how much certain materials are, How large a lot they live on.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I do all work myself so when I come out and bid on a job, I return and do the work. Most large companies send the boss out and you never hear or see him while work is being done, that means there is total strangers at your house. All work is done as if it is my own house.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. With landscaping seeing the before and after, just a little money goes a long way.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. If I always work alone and how long I have been doing it.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. There all pretty good but seeing the before and after and looks on faces when everything is done.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. It takes a lot of hard work and how expensive the equipment is.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Was a Auto Mechanic for 10yrs and sick of the same old thing day after day, Had alot of mechanic customers ask if I would mow lawn/trim trees, ect. I worked for a Pond Company in Pa many yrs ago and its always something different.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I would say the ponds and total new designs. People don't realize how you can build a pond to look like its been there for ever.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Not currently but shortly I plan on doing some classes probably in fall.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. The latest is equipment, say mowers, mainly cut quality and speed.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. A pond in Cedar Park. It took 2 days, . 4tons of Moss boulders,35x15ft liner,pump,filter, 5 koi, 1) Lily 4)bog plants and 1) lotus, about $350 of assorted flowers around pond, an alligator, a crane and a few other things all for $2797 tax included

A. Most jobs are bid on the job but if customer wants to hourly we work out a price.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Be able to work in heat and be in shape because you do alot of walking.
