I am a professional makeup artist so I know all the tricks and trade in the business. Trust me, I know a lot more than the lady at your local makeup counter.
I graduated from the Studio Makeup Academy located in Hollywood, California. Most make up artists take a course in cosmetology, but the problem is that they don‘t learn the technicalities of makeup nor how to look or apply it correctly. I attended a school that specializes in movie makeup, special-effects, runway, black and white photography, photography, and so on.
I have worked with movie stars in many production films for the last eight years. Everyday as a makeup artist, I learn something totally new. My favorite thing to do is make overs, to completely convert a person's image and show them what a beautiful person they have always been.
The old cliché beauty is only skin deep, well I think that beauty is what you have on the inside, but I can always enhance the outside. Makeup is life and if you don’t have the passion or the creativity for it, then all makeup will only be considered as a pay check, and so many customers end up receiving wrong information or product.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Look for someone that has experience the more experience they have the better you are going to love your look. I won't always go with a cheaper provider due to the fact they probley don't have any or little experience and saying that they do. I can tell you now that your going to spend money on something you will not love.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. How makeup is suppose to go on. Alot of people thing is it pretty black and white but in reality there is alot that goes into makeing you look like a movie star. Its just not pick a color that matches and your set. Alot goes into doing your makeup the correct way.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. How many years experience, if price is too cheap ask why? Don't be afraid to ask whatever you want because you are the one paying for a service and you should get what you pay for.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. What I love most about my job is meeting great people along the way. I love that I get to share all my tips and tricks to them and make them feel special and pampered. I love to teach.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. That in order to do a beautiful job and teach women how to put on makeup right or pick the right products you have to have passion it has to be more then just a paycheck.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. Yes I do I take seminars when they are available and I am also reading up on the latest fashion.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. To make sure you have passion for this kind of work. Because if you don't then it will reflect when you work on people or interact with them.
