A. Expressive. Breathtaking. Intense. Fun. Lighting is all those things, and Sense and Color was born out of a love for music and lighting! We started in 2009 lighting local concerts, and we still love to drop jaws when people see our stages. In 2010 (the year of our own wedding) we expanded to include weddings, and we love to watch the guests' faces as they first take in the gorgeous ambiance.
Uplighting is our most popular wedding request, but we're just as often remembered for the amazing dance floor lighting we provide. Sure, plenty of DJs offer lighting with their packages, but most often their lights are positioned, then set on random, since a DJ's more focused on music, not the lights - as well they should be! You wouldn't want the head caterer to also be your photographer, would you? Let us take care of running the lights, and let the DJ handle the entertainment - and you're guaranteed to get the most out of both professionals you hire.
A. Michael and Amy Boyd have been making music together for nearly three years. In that time, we've built a light rig to enhance our own shows, which then grew to enhance other people's shows. When we planned our own wedding, we designed the lighting for that, which of course led to designing lighting for other weddings as well. They've all been unique, and all gorgeous!
To top it all off, during weekdays we run a guitar school out of our home, so we're able to manage two business with flexible hours that allow us to work at home together, as well as two ways to make a living based on music. It's the best of all worlds!
